BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts Practice (Acting)

Achieved at BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy September 2021 - July 2023

Lynnbec - Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Athlete's Welcome Ceremony A Thousand Welcomes

During my time at BOA Stage and Screen I was offered the opportunity to collaborate with performance company LYNNBEC to help create and perform in the Athletes welcome ceremony. In this performance I played a central role where I had to be expressive and eccentric to engage the audience in the spirit of Birmingham by directly interacting with them at many points throughout the live performance. I thoroughly enjoyed providing a high energy performance to such a diverse audience as well as creating a sense of community for the games.  - July 2022

BOA Stage and Screen Short Film - Young Brum

At BOA I was given the chance to be involved in my first screen acting project called Young Brum. Young Brum was a sitcom style short show set in Birmingham across the ages from the 1960's up until modern times. I was involved in the 60's part of Young Brum where I played an antagonistic young rocker named mike. I also helped write and create the 60's section which gave me a passion with which I would attempt to write more scripts in the future. This experience was incredibly valuable as it gave me my first insight into the world of screen acting and how it differs from stage. - May 2022

BOA Stage and Screen Stage Production - Pages

While I was at BOA the college collaborated with theatre company Voices of the Holocaust to create a devised theatre piece about the harrowing reality of the Holocaust for Holocaust Memorial Day 2023. In this I played the role of various survivors and delivered their words verbatim to an audience at the Old Rep Theatre, I also took part in devising and performing different elegant physical theatre movement sequences to help the audience understand the reality of the events that took place. - January 2023
